A concept masterplan showing how land at Bramley, Basingstoke could provide up to 200 new homes, open space and a shop has been shared with the local community. It is envisaged that the housing will comprise a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom housing. to meet a wide range of housing needs in the community. This will include provision of affordable homes for local people. The new accommodation will be of a high quality design, which complements and reflects the existing character of Bramley. The access to the site would be provided via an upgrade to the existing field gate access on Sherfield Road. The site is in a sustainable location, and good pedestrian and cycle links will be provided to connect to existing services and facilities in the village. Opportunities to enhance local facilities will also be provided as part of the proposals, either within the site or via financial contributions, and will benefit the wider community.
