Application for 97 homes in Hassocks

by colin

An outline planning application has been submitted for up to 97 new homes in Hassocks, Mid Sussex. The site adjoins the existing urban area and provides a sustainable location for new development close to existing facilities and the rail station. The layout responds positively to the opportunities of the site incorporating the existing public right of way and landscape features within the development. An example of this is the new avenue of cherry trees which lead into the site, a feature replicated from the 1930’s Grand Avenue developed by George Ferguson close to the town centre.

We have been working closely with our client, Gleeson Developments Ltd and a team of specialist consultants including fabrik, i-transport, EAD Ecology Ltd and Deadalus Environmental to provide masterplanning and architectural advice.
